Ka Pai - Pie Competition, WTB Spring Social and Member Consultation report back

Pies, Pies and more Pies. Sweet pies, Savoury pies, Yummy pies, Unusual Pies.

Our judges, Gov, Campbell, Hedy and Angie had a wonderful and challenging time dishing out prizes to all and sundry. Congrats to Renee for the top prize, peoples choice, with her Thai curry tofu pie with filo pastry. What a feast was had by all, and thanks to Nela's Chai and Bobby's Kombucha for our refreshments. Thanks to all the many cooks for their efforts.

It was great to meet up with so many Timebankers and their whanau, and some visitors from Manawatu Timebank. It was a wonderful venue - Innermost Garden - with a lovely outdoor setting and just enough space for the 50 of us who gathered.

It was great to have the crew from Active Youth launching and presenting Quick Kai, a joint initiative across our local communities. And wonderful performances by Jeremy (Active youth) and Jude on the violin.

A appreciative acknowledgement of Shanthi who spent hours processing our consultation responses - over 100 of them - putting together the presentation and helping present them at our event. Your skills and ability made it so easy for us Shanthi - cheers!

Finally thanks to all the Timebankers who helped in so many ways, setup, washup, serving food and drink. Its amazing that we can run our awesome events with no budget but Time credits. Thanks also to Mt Vic Hub for arranging the use of the venue - yay Timebank partners.
